Hi,
I was trying to understand how to use the numerical integration with the Simpson and Trapezoidal method. I could also explain the difference between the two methods, based on an example found in the forum.

I also applied the numerical integration to found the flow rate of a pump during the start up and shut down processes, which is useful to some degree for many engineers.

Hope it help,

Kind regards,

Trapeze suits better certain functions vs Simpson.
The converse is true: Simpson fits better certain function vs Trapeze.
Romberg/Simpson kernel is a much different story.
It converts the range of the variate of integration [0 ..1]
Last example: Trapeze better than Simpson ... poor vs ∫kernel.
