Hello, maybe someone could help, then I solve the equation with symbols it doesn't solve (I've attached the file), when I make simplification for my self it solve:

example p:=solve(b*x*x/2+a*As2*(x-d2)=a*As1*(d-x),x) it says no real roots

then I simplified by mysef

p:=solve(0.125x^2+0.0491x-0.01998=0, x) it give answer?

Alternatively you can try maple() function from the Maple Tools extension.
