I'm a Russian engineer. We have a lot of calculations which, depending on the parameter chosen earlier, change the future types of data to be entered. For example, when calculating the ground: If the rod is a round data set one. And if you select a corner, then the data set is different. How to solve the problem of choosing formulas I found, but there is no input of data types.
I want to make a simple calculation with an output list of bar types, and below them is the data entry area, which will vary depending on the selected rod. Most likely this function already exists and is solved as an area, but I did not find an example. Help please an example or say there is such a functional?
The final calculation would be desirable to see in the form of a well-designed SMAth Viewer

Sorry for my english!

Additional explanation. Replacing one parameter with another depending on the type selected "Круглый" or "Уголок"

My friend: your English drinks like best Vodka !

Can you attach some references [web, other sources ...]
If the rod is circular: the external contours get progressively
square along the diagonal [corners] ... is that what you are saying ?
It may just be a matter of 2D linear spline along the diagonal ?
In fact: Mathcad 11 contour plot would show such "squaring the circle",
from which an image can be captured, then converted in matrix values.

Welcome to Smath Community ... Jean

PS: Tom G. [former Mathsoft Collab] designed a program to extract the matrix contours.
A piece of gold, may not be possible/difficult to code in Smath.
Maybe your friend Andrey would be willing to give it a try ?

I love Vodka!

A new simple example is the question:
There are two formulas: the sum and multiplication
When selecting a sum in the viewer, only the parameter b
When selecting a multt in the viewer, only see the parameter c

Now I see both parameters, although one of them is not needed
Is it possible to remove one of the options depending on the choice?

PS: When I drink vodka with my friend Andrew, we will discuss this topic

Thank you so much! This works for me. I would like to be more elegant, but this method is also workable.

I'm in the thread discussing the project:
I think that such an opportunity could be useful, especially in Smath Viewer. Maybe someone will develop it in the form of an additional module.
I see this as an area that already exists. Depending on the selected matrix element, the elements inside the region disappear and others appear. It is necessary to expand the possibility of the existing field.
This is important and convenient when the calculation is done for the SMath Viewer

I'm done with squaring the rod ! Just suggestive.
You guys from Russia you can put "description" left/right/up.
I couldn't find the left/right ways of putting description ?

When the region is focused, you can see that the left edge of the description is dotted; that is a "grip zone", click and drag around the region to change his position
