Error opening old file - Object reference not set Error - Messages
#1 Posted: 9/29/2020 3:12:17 PM
New Windows 10 (Ver 2004) and SMath 0.99 (build 7561)

I'll be updating old files and came across this gem of an error. Does anyone know what it is and how to fix it?
I just opened a file that I've been using as a Template. The screenshots that I'm using in the Header and Footer have disappeared and the "Area" is not showing the bottom line3Tier Calculation Sheet.smz (75 KiB) downloaded 51 time(s).... HMMM

- All of my files are SMZ. I previously had issues with SMZ files and snippets.
- file will NOT open directly by double clicking the file
- file WILL open in SMath if I file open and point to the file within SMath
- portable version of SMath

Jean,
That's the problem. I had the app version and some header/footer graphics that went *POOF*. If you look at the "AREA", the second/bottom line that defines an area in the worksheet is non-existent
Windows 7 and 10 and using the last two stable versions of SMath gave me the same issue.

Elsid,
Unless an SS 7561 is in very native Smath code SS 6179 does not open.
Your document shows header, but no footer even if the footer is OK Page setup.
What SS 7561 should be doing that SS 6179 does not ?
Hope for the Grand Doctors to help rescue the patient.
Cheers ... Jean
