 Description

Please give a common number to each pairs (starts and end ones) of area separators (lines) (at the end of each line for instance)  in order to identify easyer their influence zones.

Thank you !

Thank you! Now I see the request, sorry.

I don't plan to implement such functionality specificly for Area region.

What I prefer is to add a menu item to "Save selected..." to any supported format.

This will be done soon.

Thank you for all your help! I'm closing thiss issue.

The saving issue is not a bug but a feature request, it is hidden in the comment from April 17th. Perhaps those times editing of the issue description was not yet possible.

Martin, could you please explain what exact issue with saving? I thought I fixed it as well...

Changes in SMath 0.97.5327:

Opening and closing separators of an area region do not know anything about each other, just as with opening and closing parens.

Therefore, now you cannot create overlapping area regions any more, instead you create nested area regions. This logic is straightforward and might solve the original request.

Opening and closing separators are matched by nesting level and proximity. Deleting any area separator now also deletes the matching one, which was ioan's request 1

Color changes to any separator of an expanded area just affect this separator. The matching separator and the contents inside are not affected.

Color changes to a collapsed area region affect everyting (separators and contents.

Only remaining issue of this request is saving the contents of an area region to a file. Current workaround would be to copy the region (possibly collapsed) to a new file.

If I may attach a new feature demand concerning the area separators, it would be:

* to have a command for saving the content of the area closed beween the linked separators in a "sm" file.

Thanks,

Ioan

1. IMHO, it would be preferable that once a separator is deleted, its pair line to be automaticaly deleted.

2. It seems that when affecting a color to a separator line, all the content between the pair separators is affected.
