 Description

Current state:

  • If a collapsed area region is deleted, empty space is inserted in the canvas, as if the region had been opened before deleting it.
  • If a collapsed area region is pasted into a document, then the required space on the canvas must be inserted in advance. Otherwise overlap happens.
  • Overlap with other area regions can lead to crash.

Proposal

  • Deleting collapsed regions should remove the appropriate amount of canvas space. (This would allow for cutting out big canvas tranches just by creating an area region, extending and then deleting it.
  • Inserting collapsed regions should insert sufficient amount of canvas space.

Partially fixed. Now behavior is correct if you work with one collapsed area (i.e. you copy/paste 1 collapsed area only). Space will be adjusted automatically.

Algorithms are too complex there, so ticket is still opened...
