Image Region: svg import does not work

 Description

The import of svg images via context menu entry does not work. It seems that internally still png is assumed and display/edit fails due to format mismatch.

Manually changing the internal filename to end on ".svg" in the sm file works. Strangely the renderExt can still be set to png and is ignored. I wonder why the filename is not simply taken from the imported file.
