As soon as you have to present your Smath Calculations to somebody else you probably want your organization's logo included in the header or footer. Currently this is not possible. If you place an image manually you have to place it on top of each page. If you later delete or add space the logo is suddenly in the middle of a page. That's why we need the ability to place it in the header or footer directly.
Most people will want to include a logo. The most standardized way for a logo format is ISO 15930-3: PDF/X-3:2002 which supports bitmap and vector graphics.
